رئومتر یک دستگاه آزمایشگاهی است که از آن برای اندازه گیری راهی استفاده می شود که توسط آن یک مایع ، سوسپانسیون یا ماده ی آبکی در پاسخ به نیرو های اعمال شده جریان می یابد . از آن برای مایعاتی استفاده می شود که توسط یک مقدار واحد ویسکوزیته تعریف نمی شوند و بنابراین نیاز به برقراری و اندازه گیری پارامتر های بیشتری تا ویسکوزیته دارند . در این جا رئولوژی مایع اندازه گیری می شود .

دو نوع متفاوتی از رئومتر وجود دارد . رئومتر هایی که تنش برشی ( shear stress ) به کار برده شده را اندازه گیری می کنند و رئومتر های چرخشی یا برشی نامیده می شوند ، در حالی که رئومتر هایی که تنش کششی را به کار می گیرند رئومتر های کششی هستند .

انواع رئومتر برشی

رئومتر برشی دینامیکی

نوع برشی دینامیکی که به طور متداول با نام DSR شناخته می شود برای توسعه ی دقیق و هم چنین کنترل کیفی در ساخت طیف وسیعی از مواد به کار گرفته می شود .

لوله ای یا موئین

مایع از میان یک لوله ی دارای برش متقاطع دایمی با ابعاد دقیق مشخص تحت شرایط جریان آرام ، جریان داده می شود . یا افت سرعت جریان یا افت فشار ثابت شده و دیگری اندازه گیری می شود .

استوانه ای چرخشی

مایع درون حلقه های متحد المرکز یک استوانه درون استوانه ی دیگری قرار داده می شود . یکی از استوانه ها با سرعتی ثابت چرخانده می شود . چنین چیزی تعیین کننده ی مقدار تنش درون حلقه ها است .

مخروطی و صفحه ای

مایع درون یک صفحه ی افقی قرار داده شده و یک مخروط کم عمق درون آن قرار می گیرد . زاویه ی بین سطح مخروط و صفحه حدود ۱ تا ۲ درجه است ولی بسته به نوع آزمایش های در حال اجرا متغیر است .

برشی خطی

یک نمونه از رئومتر برشی خطی رئومتر Goodyer Linear Skin است که از آن برای تست فرمول ساخت کرم آرایشی و برای اهداف تحقیقاتی پزشکی برای تعیین کمیت ذرات بافتی دارای قابلیت ارتجاعی استفاده می شود .

انواع رئومتر های کششی

Rheoten ها از نوع چرخاننده ی فیبر هستند که برای ذوب های پلیمری مناسب می باشند .

CaBER

CaBER از نوع تفکیکی موئین است . یک مقدار اندک از ماده بین صفحات قرار داده می شود که با سرعت در فشاری ثابت کش داده می شوند .

FiSER

FiSER براساس تحقیقات Sridhar و Anna و سایرین ساخته شده است . در این ابزار ، یک سری موتور های خطی یک رشته مایع را به صورت مجزا در یک سرعت در حال افزایش به صورت نمایی هدایت می کنند در حالی که نیرو و قطر به عنوان تابعی از زمان و موقعیت اندازه گیری می شوند .

Sentmanat

نوع کششی Sentmanat ( SER ) در واقع چیزی است که می توان آن را رویانواع برشی نصب کرد.

Each of our standard Laboratory Viscometers/ Rheometers are supplied with an internal spring used to calculate the viscosity of a material. These springs have different measuring capabilities:

LV is for low viscosity materials and can measure the thinnest materials. Typical examples include inks, oils, and solvents.
RV is for medium viscosity materials than those measured with an LV torque. Typical examples include creams, food, and paints.
HA is for higher viscosity materials than those measured with an RV torque. Typical examples include gels, chocolate and epoxies.
HB is for even higher viscosity materials than those measured with an HA torque spring. Typical examples include asphalt, caulking compounds, and molasses.
